2021-22 Lodge Officer Elections
Lodge Officer Annual Elections
On October 3rd, we will be holding the Annual Election of Lodge Officers. The election will be held at the end of our regular Lodge meeting that will start around 9am at Camp Henderson. The following positions are up for election: Lodge Chief, Lodge Vice Chief, Lodge Secretary, and Lodge Treasurer. Arrowmen who are nominated to run for office must be in good standing with the Lodge, be under the age of 21 for their whole term and must be able to complete the duties of their position.
LODGE CHIEF
Chairman of the Lodge Executive Committee
Member of the Key 3
Oversees all Lodge operations
Casts deciding vote on all committee ties
Appoints Chairmen for all committees with the approval of the Key 3
Responsible for all actions of the Lodge, it’s committees and its members
Ad-Hoc member of all committees
LODGE VICE CHIEF
Fills in for the Lodge Chief when he is unable to attend meetings or events
Member of the Lodge Executive Committee
Performs other duties as designated by the Lodge Chief
SECRETARY
Member of the Lodge Executive Committee
Take and maintain neatly the minutes of all Lodge meetings and read the minutes for approval at the next Lodge meeting.
If the Secretary is unable to attend a meeting, he must find a substitute for that meeting to neatly take notes.
Maintain all past Lodge minutes and records
The minutes shall have the names of all Officers and Advisers in attendance at each meeting along with the starting and ending times.

Webmaster for the Lodge Webpage
Responsible for all committees under his direction
Send approved copy of the minutes to all Lodge Executive Committee members, and Advisers.
TREASURER
Member of the Lodge Executive Committee
Submits requests to the Council Service Center for checks to be issued at the behest of the Executive Committee
Record and maintains all financial records of the Lodge
Oversees the Trading Post and Lodge inventory
Presents annual Lodge budget to the Executive Board for review.
Plans, submits for approval, and oversees all fund-raising events for the Lodge

Fall Induction Weekend
We are planning an Ordeal/Brotherhood Induction event will be held at Camp Henderson. We will need your help to make this weekend successful, we need youth and adults to work in all roles, ceremonies, candidate guides, and support staff. We will be electing Lodge Officers for the next year at our business meeting, October 3rd 9AM. Details on the Lodge Officer duties can be found on our website and on page 3 of this newsletter. Next Lodge Meeting
Our next Lodge Meeting will be online July 11th at 1pm. We will be discussing our upcoming events, and will have some breakout sessions related to the path to Brotherhood, and how to get involved with our Lodge Committees. Links will be e-mailed and posted to Slack.
Individual Membership Portal
Our Lodge will be launching a new membership portal through our database program Lodgemaster.
This program will allow you to keep your personal information up to date, print your own membership card, register for our events and more! Be looking in your e-mail in the next week for a link to claim your account. If you do not receive a message, it means we do not have your current e-mail address on file. Our Lodge is responsible for Intra-Lodge Activities, assisting with a time capsule, closing flags, and entertainment at meals at Conclave. Bring your ideas for songs skits and cheers for mealtimes to our next online Lodge Meeting. We will see you at Conclave!
Unit Elections for 2021
Your unit’s Scoutmaster should have received a message about scheduling a Unit Election. If you or your Scoutmaster have not received a message about scheduling, please reach out on the #unit_elections channel on Slack or send an e-mail to elections@oalodge34.org
We need your help to reach all our Council’s Units for an election this year. We cover a large geographic area and rely on you to help with your unit election and elections at your neighboring units. We co-ordinate our elections using Slack. If you can help, please share your availability in the #unit_elections channel on Slack.
